Spring/ Winter Olympics

Well spring is just around the corner now... and that statement partially angers me. Don't get me wrong I like spring alot, however it seems like spring and fall bring out a large majority of what I like to call "Old People Joyriders". Now, I also have nothing against "older people" and the fact that they are not in a hurry to get anywhere fast. I just wish that they would at least do within 20 mph of the speed limit. I hate this so much because I seem to find every single one of them, and it's usually when I'm in a hurry to get somewhere too. I come over a hill on a two lane road doing 60 to find a small white car doing 35 and looking at everything as it begins to grow back. Well, "why don't you pass them?", you might say... I would love to except it seems that the on coming traffic has perfectly timed out the space in between oncoming cars to make it impossible to pass until we get to the next blind hill. I only write about this because I was behind one of these joy riders today on my way to work. The good part about spring though is baseball season is almost here, and that means so is the Diana Alumni baseball game (which I am very much looking forward to). In fact I'm sure I'll come on here Saturday after the game and tell you how much my arm hurts after not throwing a baseball for so long and then trying to do it again. It is worth hurt though... get to see everyone again, and get to hang out and have some fun.

On another note I watched the Winter Olympics last night and realized something.. The Olympics is the only time I am able to set there and watch something as boring as curling or cross country skiing for hours and somewhat get excited about it. I guess its just the fact that I want America to win, but I know normally I would see this stuff flipping throught the channels and think... "Who watches this crap?" Shaun White, however, is a beast on a snowboard and watching the halfpipe was definitely exciting. The one country I have not seen an reps from though is Iraq... but I guess the winter games are not very celebrated there... Well I hope America dominates... and I am glad the games are not being held in America, because more than likely our President would try to award medals to either A) those who "said" they were going to win or B) everyone... Oh well, USA!.. USA!

  1. I totally agree about the older people. It's bad sometimes. I used to get behind an old lady in a little white neon that. She went 20 in a 40 zone. And slowed down for a school zone that is 20!

The olympics have been cool. I like the winter games much more.
